Dear Governor Nixon,
I am contacting you about a matter that concerns me strongly. I believe that open communications on issues and the direction of our country and my state help prevent misunderstandings and know that you will agree with the need for transparency in this and all instances.
Recently I received what purports to be a Directive put out by you for the instruction of the Highway Patrol for your state, Missouri. I would like answers to the following questions.
Was this document, titled “MIAC Strategic Report, 02/20/2009, The Modern Militia Movement,” produced by you or those who report to you?
What other agencies, Federal and for your state, are involved in disseminating this document, if you did indeed produce it?
Do you personally believe the statements of purported fact within to be true?
